Application Process

Quilts on the Lawn is a quilt sale and is not connected to a juried process. The goal of applications is to ensure we have enough space for quilters, quilt guilds and vendors who wish to participate in the sale, and to offer a variety of quilt styles and merchandise for sale. Each quilter may sell any number of quilts or quilt products they wish to sell in their own 10x10 tent they bring to set up in a designated location. We will accept applications through August 27, 2021 notifying artists by August 31st of the sale finalists with further details and instructions about their space and set up.
There is no charge to apply for inclusion. There is however a $20.00 registration fee required of all entrants who are accepted to participate in the sale. The $20.00 fee is per quilter or vendor, not per quilt. This fee will help defray the cost of lawn and landscape clean up and repair of any damage to the lawn following the event.
The 2021 Quilt Extravaganza is a major fund-raising event which will support the educational programs sponsored at the House Museum by The Westport Historical Society. The Westport Historical Society is a tax-deductible 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization which manages the Historical Museum. At the end of the sale we are asking quilters to make an in-kind donation of any amount to the Westport Historical Society in support of our educational programs.
